Ocean Jasper

Ocean Jasper is a rare Jasper that is collected off the coast of Madagascar. Ocean Jasper is prized for the beautiful orb patterns this stone exhibits as is shown in the photo below of a cut slab of Ocean Jasper.

Jasper is an opaque form of Chalcedony. Chalcedony is a term that is used to describe a wide variety of quartz. Other forms of Chalcedony include Agate, Bloodstone, Carnelian, and Chrysoprase.
